Black Gold Showdown Car Show $15 in addition to general admission.
Participants will receive a dash plaque. Over 30 classes.

I don't have dates for everything yet.
Usually the Bug-In is in early May in Ennis and the Bug-out in Ennis is October.
The Ft.Worth VolksFolks have a great show usually the first weekend in November in southwest FtWorth.
NTVWclub has their show mid-September in Garland.
The AirCoolers may have a ""no-show" at Qualitat in August
The rest are pretty well scattered around the state.

May 17, 2008 - May 18, 2008 - 18th Monumental Bug Bash
La Porte, Texas
The Bay Area VW Club will be hosting its 18th annual Monumental Bug Bash at the San Jacinto Monument/Battleship, located in La Porte, TX.

37 judged classes this year including People's Choice, Best of Show, Engine, Interior, Paint, Farthest Driven and Stock. Many raffle prizes along with a 1776 engine as well. A Hostess Twinkie eating contest will be held this year for entertaiment during lunchtime. Winner will receive a prize for his/her determination.

Entry fee is $10 with registration time starts at 9am and ends at 12:30pm. Trophy presentation will be at 3pm. A $1 gate fee is paid directly to the park. This fee is mandated by the state and we do not have control over this.

The Bay Area VW Club donated $1000 directly to the park last year and our goal is to double it this year.
