Chili Cookoff/Antique Car & Tractor show in Lindale, Oct 20

Postby ET Manx » 12 Wed Sep, 2012 11:00 am

I would like to invite everyone to the Lindale American Legion Chili Cookoff, Saturday, Oct 20 from 11am - 4pm. Bring your buggies for the Car Show - no entry fee, no awards. Just a "Show and Tell" type show. It doesn't matter if you don't have Antique tags. There will be plenty of parking for your trailers in a field across the street.

It is at the same location as my campout, so if you'd rather come to this event instead of the Moto Guzzi Rally that would be fine! Spend the night Saturday night at one of the local motels (no camping this weekend) and then we can do a ride Sunday morning. Let me know if you can come to this event. The organizer would like to have a ballpark number so he can know how much space to block off for us.

You are welcome to enter your best chili in the chili cookoff also! :D

Here's the flyer & pictures of the Legion grounds:

Looks like fun. Good thing I've been spending a lot of time in Lindale. I'll plan on it.

Yeah, David. Lindale's a hap'nin' town! Lots of stuff goin' on! :D

If you wanna enter your famous chili &/or salsa in the chili/salsa cookoff, I'll send you an application. I think it costs $25 for the chili & a lesser amount for the salsa. There are awards.

This event is coming up in just a few days! There's still time to enter the chili/salsa contest and also to enter your buggy in the antique car show. Let me know if you wanna do this & I'll get the application for the chili cookoff to ya. Doesn't cost anything to show your car. I just need to know how many spots to reserve.

I've never made chili before, but I'm gonna enter the contest. That'll be fun, huh?
