2011 Texas VW Classic

After extensive and on-going negotiations with Lady Bird Park management we have secured the park for future shows. Details are still being worked out but The Texas VW Classic will continue to be held in the park, April 15-16-17, 2011, with a few changes. Originally all camping was to be moved to the RV/camping area of the park. We came back and told them that camping makes the show and without camping there would not be a show. They have now agreed to the following “In addition to our campgrounds, we are designating the “loop” area around pavilion #3 as an additional camping area. We will allow tent and smaller campers to set up in that area. No large RV’s or motor homes.” The RV Park is holding reservations for us now. If you plan to have a large vehicle (RV, Motor home, Trailer etc) please contact Lady Bird Johnson RV Park 830-997-4202 to make reservations. Identify yourself as being with the Texas VW Classic to secure a space. You will also need to contact the park office to make reservations in the tent area if you plan to arrive before Friday to camp. We plan to continue to work to make the next Texas VW Classic the best show ever. Thanks to everyone for all the support and hard work and we look forward to seeing you in April.

WHERE YOU STAYING? I've just booked a room at Howard Johnson in Fredericksburg (Formerly Holiday Inn). I'm booked for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Maybe we'll get lucky and it will be a dry event this year.

We are booked for Saturday night at the Hampton Inn. Angela has wanted to get into their pool since she first saw it, so we bit the bullet and they are proud of that pool. Its just one night for us, since kid's have no school break this weekend, but we hope to get over there early on Saturday and hang until late on Sunday, since we're only a little over an hour away.

Looking forward to hanging out and getting some buggy time in.

i GOT A ROOM IN kERRVILLE FOR 65 A NIGHT NOT INCLUDING TAXES but gonna cancel it and camp. We are going up Friday. Both of our cars will be there this year.
