Wills Point Christmas Parade

Postby David Head » 30 Mon Nov, 2009 12:03 pm

This Saturday is Wills Point annual Christmas Parade. Just like the past few years we have displayed our buggies most of the day at the Christmas Bazaar on the main town square. At about 4:00 we start getting ready for the Parade. Maybe this year we can bring some kind of finger foods and set up and have a smorgus-borg while we are all lined up and waiting for the parade.

I would like to know about how many buggies to expect so the director will know how much space we need.

right now the weather is Sunny and 60ish degrees.

let me know.

OK!! more info on the Parade.
I will be in Town about 9:30 or 10:00. I will figure out than where they want to set us up for the day. At about 4:00 pm we can move over to where the Parade is lining up. This year the field we usually line up in is muddy, so we will be lining up on Wills Street(three blocks west of main street)
Usually this is kind of a boring time, setting and waiting.I thought we could use this time for eating. (did somebody say eat)We can probably set up a table that i have and share whatever anybody wants to bring. Im thinking Edie will make Taco Cheese Soup. I will bring bowls and Spoons and to tortilla chips to go with it.

It looks like its gonna be cold. but no rain. Dress warm and bring blankets.

See ya tomorrow morning.

We had a great time in Wills Point today at the parade. Thanks to David and Edie for the great food and fellowship. Mello Yello once again had the best decorated buggy.

Great pics guys. I know that you were the hit of the parade as always, 2nd only to SANTA. Sorry we couldn't make it. I am still recovering from knee surgery which may stop my buggy riding until I can come with a car with doors. Ideas abound but will take a lot of work and a new body and frame design from Hawkeye. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Thanks for the kind words YoBoy but I think all the buggies looked good, I think i couldn't see very well because my eyes were frozen shut a lot of times. We had a great time and enjoy the fellowship with good people. We thank all of you for being our friends.
