Well, here is the dilemma.

Now it is basically running, although I still need to bleed the brakes better so it will pass inspection. I assume this thing should actually stop a lot better than it does.

But there are so many things that I don't feel are up to par. So I hate to start showing it knowing that there are deficiencies in my opinion. The fact that I documented the whole build on here, and the pictures look better than in person, I think the expectations are so high, that it will be disappointing. There are still a lot of things I want to do to it.

Plus i don't have a trailer and don't want to flat tow it all over the place.

Hi Cory:

Do you want me to come over and help bleed the brakes? Also I have a trailer you can borrow, old but just the right size.

Rick -

I'll take you up on the brake bleeding. Without having anything to compare to, I don't know if what I have is all I'm going to get or what. It will stop, and it will stop quickly if you put your foot in it, but it takes a lot of pedal to do it.

I'll pass on the trailer for now, I think its a long shot that I'll make it to Ennis, I've been doing vw things for 3 weekends straight now, not sure I dare do another one so soon. ;-)

Cory!! Man your family now. We don't care if it's not perfect. We all have issues with our buggies. You by far have done more to your buggy than any of us. And you started with less than any of us. I told you to throw that body out with the trash. But nooooo!! You have done a great job considering what you started with. We are not expecting a perfect buggy. We will not dish you because you don't think that the buggy is up to par. Were just happy for you and anxious to have another friend to cruise with.

Like I said, we are all excited to see it. It doesnt matter to us if it's only pretty in pictures.

Welcome to the family bro.

Thanks David,

Still working on the courage runs, I had it out a little last night, runs a lot better, but I'm still afraid of getting stranded somewhere. Once I get an inspection sticker on it, I'll start venturing further away.

Rick - what works for you? Evenings are fine, Saturday looks open, still on the fence about Sunday and going to Ennis.

Just read a post on aircoolers that said the bug out is canceled for Sunday due to possible bad weather. Rescheduled for Oct. 18th. So anyone planning on going, check into it. I can't find the exact link.

No sweat Rick I see I called a different number than you told me to. I got it figured out and passed inspection. Number is in the members section.

Now it's time to start cruising!
