Santa Fun Run and Marshall Tx. Christmas Parade

Postby wildthang » 21 Fri Nov, 2008 9:36 pm

Finally Folks , I have the information on the Santa Fun Run Cruise in Shreveport, La. that some of the T M C M participated in last year . It will be Saturday, Dec. 13. For those who want to attend this year, we can meet at Exit 3 Greenwood, La at the Loves Truck Stop by 8 a.m. so that we can make it to the Sonic in Bossier City by 9:30 a.m.. We will then line up and leave out at 10:00 with Police escorts again this year for traffic safety. We will make 3 stops: Bossier Family Services ( one wrapped gift marked for a boy or a girl and age level) KWKH Radio Group ( unwrapped toy or toys) and then ending up at the Shreveport Bossier Rescue Mission ( toys and donations of any kind are accepted). There, they will give an award or two and provide a hot dog lunch. We will probably leave there and go get a bite to eat. Then head to Marshall, Texas and meet up at the Walmart on Hwy 59 to decorate cars for the lighted parade. We will then head downtown for parade line up. This is an invite for everyone to attend. The Toy Drive is for a wonderful cause and feels good to be part of a child's life that may not have had a gift if it wasn't for car clubs such as The Texas Manx Club. RSVP ASAP. They will have us as a group in the parade, so bring you and your family for some great family fun. Refer back to last years pics of the Marshall Parade if you don't remember how much fun we had !!!!

I will answer this the best way I can. no but YES . In the past they have said you can't , but we always have. Plus it doesn't say it in the entry form this year as it has in the past. We have thrown small stuffed animals each year. :P

If anyone knows the whereabouts of this couple contact the Bossier Police Dept. Have no idea what crime has been committed because we left the scene because they looked so darn GUILTY. More on the 10.00 oclock news stay tuned.

We would like to thank the Tuthill's for inviting us to take part in the toy run and the Light Parade. Thanks to everyone that attended for sharing such a great day with us! Even though the temperature Saturday morning was a little chilly

Hey Bryan glad to see we could help you talk Anne into the purchase of a new trailer. On the way home we were saying that if it was raining on you too that there was probably a discussion going on about a new enclosed trailer :D

We would like to encourage more Texas Manx Club members to put this event on their calendar's for next year.

Here are some pictures.......

And, last but not least. We found the guilty party!!
[img][/img]

But then again, I believe we were all guilty of having a fun time and putting smiles on the faces of children that otherwise might not have had a Merry Christmas. A BIG "THANKS" to all that were there and we hope more will come and participate in this worthwhile cause next year! It makes you remember what Christmas is all about!

We want to thank everyone for the great time we had at the toy run and the parade last weekend. I would have gotten back to everyone sooner but the hard drive on Jimmy's computer went out and we just got it back to day. The pictures were great.

It slipped my mind to let everyone know why Russell and Christy were with the Police officers and chased one for most of the day.

This fine couple were chosen to lead the Santa Fun Run and a three stop cruise delivering toys and gifts for the less fortunate kids in our area . Due to their spirit of CHRISTmas and also the fine looking and decorated buggy ;-) :D :D :D
