Wills Point Christmas Parade

Postby David Head » 17 Mon Nov, 2008 9:35 am

The annual Wills Point Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 6th. As before, it is an all day event starting with the Christmas Bazaar in the town square. Generally we meet up about 10:00 and have a little car show, break down about 3ish and than get something to eat and start lining up for the parade.

Some people have shown an interest in maybe doing a cruise and Lunch on Sunday morning if anybody stays overnight. There is lodging in Canton, Texas and the Tawakoni State Park is also close by. Both approx. 10 miles away.

Anyone interested????

Christmas Parade

Postby Manx34 » 19 Wed Nov, 2008 3:25 pm

David,
Sounds good for us. Do we need to enter with the chamber or do you do that for us? Just let me know, we have done it both ways in the past.
We are ready for a good parade.

If it works out, I can enter us as a club and we can all fall under one registration.

It looks like I'm not going to get to make the Parade this year. My work Christmas Party is that night and it looks like we will be going to it.

If anyone wants to do the parade, I will take care of getting y'all registered.

Let me know.

Bryan, How far do you want to cruise?????

Are you planning on staying in Canton???

I can plan a route leaving Canton and heading North East. Or if you are bringing an RV, You can stay at the State Park and I can plan a cruise from there.

Anybody else???? Just let me know how far y'all want to cruise.

I can plan a route that can loop from Canton to the Stae Park and back.

Or maybe we can talk to Jimmy and Donna and swing by their house and shop for a stop on the cruise. Their about halfway between Canton and the State Park.

Tell me what everyone wants and I will see that it gets done.

OK guys, I was in Mineral Wells last night for my nephews football game. ( he is a senior---6'1"----297lbs) they went to regionals in the playoffs. They WON. So next Saturday I will be in Wichita Falls for the Semi-finals. This is the last game before we go to the state championship.

So it looks like y'all are on your own this weekend. I have y'all registered for the Parade. The Christmas Bazaar on the brick streets will start at 10am. They will have live entertainment and vendors all day. They will have a place to display the buggies. At about 4ish they start wrapping up the Bazaar and start lining up for the Parade. the Parade starts at 6:00.

For you guys that where there last year, the schedule is the same.

Remember that all buggies need to have lights and please do not display a Santa Claus.

Sorry I will not be there, but everything should run smoothly.

Edie will be working a booth next to where the buggies will be on display. if there are questions you can chase her down or call her on her cell. 214-766-1825

We would like to thank Jimmy, Donna, Russell, Christie, Bryan and Anne for letting us share such a great day and parade with them yesterday.

Everyone attending would also like to thank David for not showing up as they let our club lead the parade since that home town aggie buggy stayed away!

Here's some pictures from yesterday:

Wills Point Parade

Postby Manx34 » 07 Sun Dec, 2008 5:35 pm

Everyone missed a great time at Wills Point saturday. We set the cars up down town and had a lot of people to look and brag on all of the cars.
The parade turned out to be great. Billy did a wonderful job of leading our group. Thanks to Billy, Gloria, Russell, Christie, Bryan and Ann for making our day so enjoyable. Hope to see all of yall next weekend at the toy run and the Marshal Parade.
