A Word About thr Weather

Postby Ken » Sat May 17, 2014 1:11 pm

I'm sure we are all watching the weather sites, But I just wanted to say, as far as I'm concerned, the Phillips clan will be in Marble Falls next weekend. Rain or shine. Of course our hopes are of sunshine and lots of buggy riding. But I'll take what we get and work with it.

ARE Y'ALL WITH ME?!?
Everyone is too quiet!
Lets here some BB chatter.

Leslie and I will be there... And my truck will be full of stuff.

By the way, I am bringing a cornhole game, a lawn game to play.
Anyone else bringing a game?

Absent a set back in Linda's post-op recovery from Tuesday, I'll be there rain or shine.

Last year we had what I suppose was some of the worst weather possible, and yet I think everyone who was there would agree: We still had a fantastic time.

Plus, seven days can be eternity in weather forecasting. Right?

Nope. Does anyone know what rain change percentages REALLY mean? I just hope the buggy starts when I go out to the barn tonight. I wonder if all of the oil has leaked out of the engine yet..

Just means you have an authentic VW engine, Richard. If there were no oil under it you would have to worry you have a fake. :D

Sunday morning, 8:12 a.m., raining steady in Kingsland, occasional thunder. Eating cookies and drinking coffee, wondering what the rest of you guys in Marbke Falls are doing?

Linda, here....................While I am very disappointed I was unable to join in all the fun and fellowship this year, I am delighted to have been getting steady reports on how magnificently the Blast has been going........"like a well-oiled machine". Ricardo, when I talked to Bill around 7:15 it didn't look at all promising :( . I sure hope you all are going to be able to have the planned cruise today.

And to Ken (aka "Coilman"), I want to extend a very happy birthday greeting, and many thanks to the Phillips fam and Dave and Christi Wells for all you did to make this another 5-Star event! :D

And, hotel staff, I've heard nothing but praise for your part in making this another "Blast". As you undoubtedly have seen, this is one of the finest groups of people ANYWHERE!
