David O this one for you

while getting ready to powder coat the air cleaner housing on my 70 Ghia
I baked it out. after I did there was a bunch of what apeared to be burnt moss coming out of the waffel area inside.
I heard on another site it might be cocanut shavings?
also said there wer a few with copper wool inside.
now that it is all cleaned out (it was toast)
what might I use to put something back in there.

the area that it came out of is inacessable to put something back in
so it will either have to go on top inside the canister or wraped around the bottom.
ever tried any thing like that?
if it aint broke, break it then fix it

Ouch!!!! I don't know how you would go about doing that. Unless you can get the very bottom piece off and see if the cannister section will slide off.
If at first you don't succeed, beat the pshaw out of the business partner, and then go at it alone! LOL!
