Anyone with pics of the dash brace or how they supported their steering column please post away. Or email me at michaelmurzi@charter.net.

Hey Murz, I tried using the original Windshield Manx brace. I highly modified it and it still didn't work like I wanted. I found the Berrien Buggys has a good one. I think it runs about $60.00 + shipping. I still had to weld some tabs on it for the sterring wheel mount, but it works great. Good Luck, David H
PS I have a picture I will try to figure out how to post it.

I don't have pictures of it before it was installed. But it comes with good instructions and templates. I thought $61.00 was a pretty goog price. Good Luck. David

I agree with the fab up Idea
mine is a piece of tubing that slides in and out of each other to make the width under the dash it has a nut welded on one side to set screw it down once you get it set to the right width
the side pieces are just some light strap welded to the tubes
once you get the windshield and hood on you sandwitch all together
follow me
so far mine has held up pretty good
I might have a crappy pick if ya need it
pre good camera days

good thing David has a Hawkeye chassis. If the tunnel went all they way to the front, I doubt he could contort himself enough for that shot .....

not a very good pick but you get the idea from my other post.
please dont ask me to get under and take a pick like dave. I had to change a fuse last week. my back still aint right.

the column is just held down by a u bolt that goes thru a plate welded to the tubing the set screw/bolt is on the left before the strap
the strap has a wierd twist to fit the inside of the pan nothing a little heat and a cressent wrench cant handle.
let me know if you need more
