Postby Aquabuggy » 05 Wed Jul, 2006 3:28 pm

Anyone know where I can get the hardware that screws on the ends of the push cable to connect it to the peddle and carb linkage?
Ive hit every hardware store and Home depot in three county's.
Thanks

Thanks Carlos, but that's not what I was referring to. I'm trying to use a Morse Throttle Cable. It's a push cable, as opposed to the traditional pull style cable. With this style cable, the cable runs from the throttle peddle forward through the front bulkhead/firewall, then around the body to the carburator linkage, where it pushes the linkage. The traditional style goes from the peddle back along the floor/tunnel and pulls the throttle linkage. I'm not running a tunnel and didn't want the cable running down the middle of the floor which is also the reason I'm running a hydraulic clutch.

Ooh, I get it now! I'm running the standard setup, clutch cable and accel. cable, and it fits under the carpet and padding nicely... does your buggy not have any carpet? I've seen 'em where they run the tubes and mount them to the floor, then LINE-X the whole flat pan, looks good too.. I wanna see your setup, I understand it, just never seen it done before.. saweet!

I think David Head is running a push type Morse cable. Might check with him.
