Body to Chassis

Postby Patrick » 24 Mon Apr, 2006 5:04 pm

Has anyone had problems before like this... We put the body on top of our chassis and it's not sitting flush. There's about a inch on both sides in the rear where the body is off the chassis floor. Does this mean my Body is not going to fit or the chassis sides will be even once I put bolts into it? I can send photos later. Thanks,
Patrick

mine is like that and when I pull up on the pans just a little they seem to pull flush against the body I'll know more when I bolt it down and see what happens
It aint for show, but it sho will go.

I would agree that if the front and rear hoops are flush the pans will snug up to the body with bolts
make sure the rear torsion is not hitting some times they can be a little snug back there
if it aint broke, break it then fix it

On other forums, this has worked with success, but you need lotsa bolts, different lengths..

Put the body on the pan...and leave it out in the hot Texas sun.. tighten a few turns a day (replacing bolts for length, etc...)

By a week-and-a-half, two weeks, it should be Ok..

Yes, it's that hot here! 8-)
