paint removal?

Postby pokey1168 » 19 Wed Apr, 2006 6:12 pm

the paint on the shell I just picked up is old and to be honest, just hideous. It has what I can only describe as "glitter" in the paint. (Way to big to be metal flake or the like) Does anyone know of a relatively quick way to get it off without harming the fiberglass under below it. It isn't the gelcoat, it was painted over the original.

Thanks

Hm..try boat outfit stores...

I KNOW they make a paint remover that's safe for fiberglass and for resin..if you get the wrong one, it activates, and without a mold, it droops and sags..ewww...
