Two steps forward, one step back

Hey folks! Let's see if you can help..............again.

I got my front end done, kinda.

I put the spindle on, and they're sitting on the ball joint studs...

Let's say I bolt the top ball joint, with that eccentric spacer, and all.

Tighten it up.

Now, I can rotate the spindle. It's got some resistance, but I can move it. YAY!

I tighten up the bottom ball joint, and when I try to rotate it, it doesn't move. I CAN move it, but I would say it takes all my effort, and I have big arms!!! Can I conclude that the bottom ball joints were somehow damaged during the pressings?

Sheesh, I was so upset that I didn't continue, just left it there and pouted. :(

They were probably pressed in such a way as to crush the bottom of the ball joint housing into the ball. They are damaged. Sorry!
If at first you don't succeed, beat the pshaw out of the business partner, and then go at it alone! LOL!

Well, since I do bench work on free weights and machine systems, I can say easily, if the spindle was sitting like it supposed to (facing out), and I'm in front of it, I can put about 300 pounds of pressure, pulling, and it bearly moves... but, with the top one on alone, it's about 50lbs AND IT TURNS....so, yeah. PPtthhh. I've got to call and get some more. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHUCKS. One step forward, two steps back. :(
