what type motor oil should i used in 1915 scat engine

I am using 20W-50 but I am running a 50 year old 1200 CC stock single-port engine. You sound like you might have something recently rebuilt and with high-performance capabilities. Not sure for that!

Yup... 20-50 is all I've used. This topic pops up periodically and I'd say thats the consensus.
