Gas tanks

Postby mfitzpm » 28 Wed Aug, 2013 2:04 pm

I am rebuilding my 1968 Manx buggy and it has the center hood hole for the gas cap and tank spout. In rebuilding the bug I need a new gas tank for that configuration, gas tank flip cap. Any idea where I can get it. Also looking for side pods, left and right, any resources for those as well?

thanks
Fitz ;-)

Welcome to the club Fitz. Best thing on the tank is buy a new one from an online supplier then have a local welder move the filler to the center. This is the quickest and most reasonable way to do it.
Side pods I would go with the people that took over the Berrien Line of buggies, Acme something. Meyers Manx Co also sells them. Again you will get a quicker response and service with these two. They may cost more but worth it in my opinion just in the amount of wait time and broken promises.
Where are you located? This may have some bering on where you source from.
