Having carb problems

Postby TXRnK2 » 23 Thu Aug, 2012 11:39 pm

Kim and I (Ray) Are new to the club we just bought a buggy with a 1971 1600 motor. I was having problems with the motor dying when the car came to a stop. Put in a new electronic distributor, Gave the car a tuneup, retimed it, Had the carburator rebuilt now when i start the car up it idles great until the motor heats up once the butterfly goes straight up and down the motor dies. Thinking that the carb was sucking air i replaced the hose with no luck. I am out of ideas at this point. Any help or if anyone lives around Magnolia Tx that could help me I would be appreciate it. Thank you
