I received my new Doghouse fan housing and had also ordered one of those Chrome hemispherical debris screens to keep leaves, paper (the neighbors cat?) etc out my fan housing, but the Doghouse housing does not have a lip to install the screen.
Has anyone succesfully installed some kind of lip that a debris screen can attach to on a Doghouse fan housing?

Sorry, I installed one but it had a lip. It was small but it held.

You might try 4 small L brackets spaced around the shield, riveted and then small screws or rivets to the housing.
