Converting 1600 dp to Doghouse cooler-anyone done this?

Postby wildwestrider » 13 Fri May, 2011 11:06 am

Still sorting out my recently acquired Sand rail. I just got my new Doghouse shroud, fan, cooler and tins (that divert the air exiting the cooler down).

The tins that divert the air down after it exits the DH cooler dont fit very well,....and wondering,...do I need them at all, or would it be OK to just have the hot air exit the cooler to the side?

Thinking that there might possibly be some air-flow related reason for the tins other than changing the direction to blowing down out of the engine bay in a bug,.......such as air velocity/venturi effect etc.
