New alternator kit

I want to up grade to an alt. There are a lot of kits on the market. Whats your take on these kits ? Should I go with the Bosch or are the cheaper kits as good? I hate rework and wasting money on subpar parts. And where do I find the fuel pump and shorter rod and such?
And who would reccomend to buy from?
