Wheel adapters

Postby Aquabuggy » 03 Fri Feb, 2006 6:25 pm

What do you all think about wheel adapters?
Ive got them on my aqua buggy with no problems, But I will be running much bigger tires on the new buggy I'm building.
Anyone ever have trouble with them?
Thanks

If they are steel and they are the thick steel adapters, ( not the stamped cup type) there should not be a problem!
If at first you don't succeed, beat the pshaw out of the business partner, and then go at it alone! LOL!

They would be type that go VW 4 lug to chevy 5 lug. I think the ones on my aqua buggy are aluminum. Do these also come made of steel?

I have a set of those in my garage.

I may use them on another project, but for now they are collecting dust.

I think on a street buggy they're not much of an issue. But on a buggy that may be off road and get bounced around pretty hard I don't know how much I'd trust them. If you go discs get blank rotors and drill them for Chevy...just a thought.

Hey Greg,
How did your new disk break install go?
Can ya tell much difference in stopping power or over all handling?

Greg is right! But also, the ones you are talking about are fine! My two cents worth!
