Nuts and Bolts

Hmmm...got a question....

I decided on some parts to replace hardware, on the rear suspension... my problem is this.. the threads match, the pitch matches, the length and size match, but the bolt HEAD is a bigger diameter... anyone know why? Both bolts have the same hardness, too...

original bolt has a 15mm head, and the new one has a 19mm, but every other dimention is the same... strange... :?:
you must have pride....in your ride....

Where are the bolts attached to and where did you get them? Volkswagen used many different sizes and some of them were dettermined by the year model of the car.
If at first you don't succeed, beat the pshaw out of the business partner, and then go at it alone! LOL!
