Maximum width of front seats...

Postby Greaph » 10 Tue Feb, 2009 4:29 pm

What is the maximum width of the front seats at the base in the standard manx clone? I know this is a somewhat general question, but I am not at home where I can measure this :-(.

I.E.- the measurement from the center tunnel to the side wall.

Thanks !!

19inches. Some guys say they can get 20 or 21 but they have to space them up. Really 19 is the perfect fit.

Anyone have any ideas what production cars might have these in them. Wife wants to pick out the fronts and have the back sewn up to match.

Greaph, I ordered mine today. I will use the Pro90 seat. Have a look at the seat.

If I have to I'll raise them up a little, but I don't think I'll have to. I have a Bandit and it might be just a little wider. It measures 21'' from the tunnel to the body. :)

Thanks for the replies. I REALLY wanted to use the Beard RX-1's, but they are just 3" too wide. After talking to Brad at Redart.com, I decided to use the Ultra Pro's. Anyone else use this seat style? I ordered them with the shoulder loops, so i can install both traditional lap and shoulder belts for everyday driving, and 5-point camlocks for driving of a more aggressive nature.

Intitally, a shop in Columbus covered them, but they did such a bad job that I had to have them redone. A shop here in Rosenberg did them for me. It is called Juarado's Upholstery & Trim. (Lupe @ 281-342-5163).
