Well, here i am with the floor pans patched and the seam sealer cured. I have a can of spray on undercoat and a can of industrial black enamel. 1st, This buggy is for fun not show so I'm not gonna chrome or powdercoat it, I was just wondering if undercoat works well or if it turns into a peeling mess after a short time. Thanks Fred
Thanks guys; I just got back from Tractor supply witha can of Herculiner, I'll post some pics after I figure out this photobucket thing. I appreciate the advise. Fred
My experience is that the undercoating will stay sticky until it gets coated with dust and dirt, but the bedliner hardens very quick it doesn't stay sticky. I used Dupli-color from Auto Zone. You'll need two roller kits. One for the bottom, and one for the top. It dries very quickly, so only pour a small amount in the roller pan.
I love the Herculiner. Put it on everything. The beam, the pans, the horns...everything. Use gloves cause that stuff is tough. I also suggest coating the underside of your fenders with it. It will help prevent getting those paint "stars' from rocks. I have some pics of mine in the projects section that show what I did.
