front end tweaks

Hey guys and gals:

About to finish up this buggy project and was wondering if there are any tips to consider when setting camber and toe-in. I have a ball joint front end with beam adjusters set to the lowest position and am using a stock IRS in the rear.

It should be set the same as the car came with!

I would shoot for 1/8 to 1/16 toe in, zero camber(as measured with the finest Walmart level you can afford   ) and stick one set of caster shims under the lower tube...reusing you stock bolts. Don't overtorque the bolts...I think the setting is like 30ft lbs.

I'm also running a full-drop adjustable front end, and set it up about like Murzi suggests, including the caster shims. The camber is not as critical as the the caster and toe in because of the very light weight front end.

For a better ride with the full-drop front end, I followed Murzi's suggestions and it helped a lot.
15 - 18 psi in the tires
No front shocks or oil shocks

Are we maybe going to get to see the car at the Roundup? :?: :?:

Don't the front end support in Hawkeye Buggies already come with the tilt-caster setup?
