blue prints?

Postby SeanS » 02 Mon Oct, 2006 9:07 am

I am going to put 3x3 trailing arms on the buggy. I already have them and the needed parts. I have to cut the old shock towers out to run the longer coiler overs in there. does have any pics of this done before. I was thinking of building something into the under side of the pan, like some of the custom pans people have built, any pics or help would be great, I do have a pipe bender and I am a welder so I can do it my self, I just don't have the experance in something like this.

If you are adding 3x3 arms, I'm guessing it's for more travel. If you are then adding coil-overs to go with the arms you need long ones(coilovers). That pretty much requires something like this:

I checked out the build up of this buggy, it was pretty darn awsome! I got my coil overs, not as great as yours, I am going to do some thing of the like, I am trying to avoid cutting holes in the body. I alreaty have a few that I don't like.

That's not my buggy! Mine will make you cry for a different reason...ugly!
What coilovers are you going to run and how long are they? That will dictate where they will have to mount. If they are just regular shocks with little coils on them you shouldn't have a problem.

I am useing some thing like that. I got them from moore parts (I like them) they are the long travel version, they have 4 more inches of travel. I think they will be alright. I still drive mine on the street, as well as the dunes (when I move back to Oregon) for now I wiull just dream of dunes.
