The Texas Volks Blast needs your help...

If you haven't already heard, the Texas Volks Blast held on Sunday May 6, 2007 at Temple Raceway near Temple, TX (if req'd, the make up date is Sunday, June 10th). See http://www.texasvolksblast.com for all the details.

The Texas Volks Blast is a new event that has no big promoter. It's being organized by a few VW people who share a common interest in putting together a great time for a lot of other Volkswagen enthusiasts.

Here's what we need from you:

1) Spread the word!
Tell your friends, talk about it at club meetings & activities, and print out/distribute some of the event flyers from http://www.texasvolksblast.com/pdf/tvb_flyer.pdf

2) Volunteers!
Parking - Direct spectators, show cars, swap meet sellers, and drag cars to the appropriate areas.
Piñatas - We have three, candy filled pinatas and will need volunteers to raise and lower them, put masks on the participating kids, and hand out/pick up bats.
Tire Toss - Adult and kids classes (big and small tires). We'll need someone to hand out/pickup tires, and someone to measure distances (four people for ~1 hour)
Bug Shove - We need a Volkswagen that the owner does not mind having pushed down the track by four people, who are in a hurry to get to the 330' mark.
Large inflatable bounce house/slide - 1 or 2 people per shift (1 hour), to shuffle kids in and out at ~5min intervals. Runs all day.
Car Show awards - Dyno Don Chamberlin will make the awards announcements and presentations, but we may need one or two people to help.

3) Feedback!
Please tell us what you think of the way the event way organized, and how things went for you. We'd like to make the Texas Volks Blast an annual event, and your feedback will help us determine what we should change or keep the same.
