Wouldn't that be great, You know they have a Baja 500. I watched it on TV last weekend and started dreaming. Actually, there is a guy here in Wills Point that ran it last month(Baja 1000), only made 280 miles before he broke the rack and pinion bracket. He wasn't running in a VW class. It was a 4-wheel drive truck class. Really, I need to start a little lighter. You know, river bottoms and such. Maybe when I win the lottery.
Get some Good sponcers!!! or win the Lotto,I ran S.C.O.R.E. a long time ago i never made the Baja's but I did a few races in the midwest still very costly, and i even ran the so called buget class 1/2 1600.better to talk to a vetran class 11 racer ask what it takes$$$$$$$$$$$
Thats a great dream. I raced in the old Snore races when I was a kid(18 or 19 years old). A lot of the races were evening event and went into the night. As I remember they were about 250 miles. I had a friend who's older brother was the driver and I was co-driver. We raced in the lowest class, 1200 cc VW engine. It was a great time.
Every year I plan on going to the Baja Race and never seem to make it. I did get as far as San Diego one year, but showed up two days too late for the race. I didn't realize the race was ran during the week, not on the weekend.
I am once again planning on making it Nov 2007 for the race, if anyone is interested in putting together a trip.
