Got to say thanks

Postby GregR » 15 Mon May, 2006 8:26 am

Got to thank David Head for coming into Dallas on Saturday. David helped me with a problem in my buggies left rear. We replaced wheel bearings, centered up the calpier a little better and some other stuff. Of course as with any good project there was one trip to Home Depot (to buy a peice of pipe to use as a breaker bar :D ) and a trip to David O's to borrow a decent pair of snap ring pliers. Thanks David, this is what nmakes this club so great!

If you have all the stuff I might be able to wander that way.....have to check with the boss first :D
Lots of 14 and 16 gauge is good....a 3 wire 12 or 14 gauge outdoor extension cord makes a nice bundle for th eheadlights...water proof too!

Do you have the fuse block and wiring diagram all figured out?

I hope you guys will be faster than I was. It took me a little under 40 hrs to wire my car from scratch. However, about 30% of that time was spend hiding wires from view.
Also, don't make the mistake I did and wire under the dash with the hood installed. Sure is easier to do while the hood is off. My neck is still sore.

This may help on the wiring: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b374/ ... g%20stuff/

Like Bill said plan on at least 40-50 hours to do it right.

I wired the rail in about one long weekend. The Manx was somewhat harder. Just remember to take it one circuit at a time. It helps avoid confusion. David
