Do you have good photos of the flames on the side of that bug? That would be a great big huge help. I loved them however forgot to take a photo for reference.

Ok I'm going to try this

Postby drc1toy//Froggy » 26 Fri May, 2006 7:25 am

This is a photo taken buy my brother at Addison Airport were I worked for 8 years. We had Les Shockley come out with his truck for 3 years. Exxon paid for his fuel and was invited to ride when he would make a run. I was bringing him fuel at the rate of 120 gallons per pass. And asked if Exxon's people did not show up if I could take a ride, He said yes and the next pass no one showed so I jumped in. Two of Addison's police officers that I knew saw me getting in and set up radar at mid field. Both come to me later and said they got 321mph on there guns, but Les said he did not shut it down till 335mph. Buy the way the runway at Addison is only 1 1/4 mile long, so we went from 0 to 335 back to 0 in that length. So hes the photo and a link to my Webshots page if I cant get it to load.

Thanks! I am sorry, and I am not trying to be a pain in the butt..... However, does any one have a closer shot of the flames on that BUG.
I hope it is at the deal this weekend!

50% wrong
he is David but hes from Crocket TX or how ever you spell it
the bug is a hack job that David put together to wow the crowds and it does that well .
I have never took close ups of the flames
and Im sure david would be glade if you dident as well
the flames are nice from a distance but not to sure if he was happy with the final outcome
he is a super nice guy and I have hung out with him at many shows
if you like his bug you should see his van it smokes the bug but people realy like the bug and his trophy shelf showes it
