Buggy in Marshall, TX

Postby will » 03 Thu Jan, 2013 10:39 am

Noticed some members from the East TX area. I looked at a buggy in Marshall, TX while up that way for Christmas. Pretty nice, just some rust on the chrome. Price seems decent to me, I just don't want another one to work on (removing rust). Anyone interested, let me know and I'll get you a couple pictures I took. BTW, I have no connection to the owner, as my grand son put me on the buggy.

The buggy is at HWY 59 Towing, south of Marshall on 59 just a few miles. Asking price was $4200, the owner said she would take $3800. I was wanting to offer less, but the lady started crying, explaining her husband had built the buggy, and had just recently passed. So, please keep that in mind should you call about the buggy. The roof has a small tear at the left front corner, and the chrome has some surface rust. Engine sounds really strong. I had been in the mud when I looked at it, and needed a good cleaning. Hope someone makes it a good home!

OK, more pictures of the buggy. In these I tried to picture the reasons I didn't buy it. They are probably gonna be catty whompus....but you can tell what they are. Oh, and I didn't drive it. It wasn't real clean, I knew I wasn't gonna buy it at $3800, and it was cold outside! Interior looked pretty much vintage VW to me. Regular maintenance free battery turned on side under rear seat.
