FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Acme Car Company Acquires Assets and Naming Rights to Berrien Buggy, Inc.

New Cumberland, PA (May 17th, 2012) - Acme Car Company

Acme Car Company, a division of Acme Trailer Works, Inc. and Berrien Buggy, Inc. have recently agreed to the acquisition of assets and naming rights of Berrien Buggy, Inc by Acme Car Company. The purchase, which should be finalized within 30 days, will allow Acme Car Company to manufacture the complete product line of Berrien Buggy, Inc. and the addition of new product lines and options. The first major product upgrade is the immediate availability of metal flake surface finish on all Berrien Buggy bodies and other body panels.

Production operations will be moved from Berrien Springs, Michigan to New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The move is expected to create ten new jobs for skilled workers and fabricators in the greater Harrisburg Area. The current Berrien Buggy website and phone numbers will remain unchanged.

John Mickle, President and CEO of Acme Trailer Works, Inc. states "We are really excited about this acquistion. We are really looking forward to expanding the product line and Berrien dealers, across the country. Dave and Sue Merkel have been a staple in the industry for over forty years. We look forward to taking their vision and dream into the next chapter. We are currently in the process of moving the operations to our headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, but we do not expect any delay on current customer orders."

Bob Bennett, Vice President of Acme Trailer Works, Inc. comments "One of our first major focuses will be reaching out to the current Berrien dealers and working with them. We want to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone. We are also focusing on the addition of new dealers across the country. The network we currently have with Acme Car Company made this acquisition a perfect fit for both us and the Merkel family. We look forward to carrying on the Berrien Buggy name."

The official grand opening of Berrien operations in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania will be on July 14th, 2012 at the 4th annual Bugs by the River show by Acme Car Company. The show is a local air-cooled VW car show, parts swap, and open house held annually by the Acme Car Company headquarters. More information on the grand opening and the Bugs by the River show can be found at http://www.AcmeCarCo.com.

Sue comments: In June of 1968, when we opened as Berrien Buggy Parts, Dave and I had no idea what the future held for this business. We are full of gratefulness to all of our customers and dealers over the last 44 years for your support, many of you have become like family to us. It is with great pleasure that we can announce the Berrien Buggy line of products will continue through the sale to Acme Car Company. They will bring new life to the product line in development of new ideas and much more to offer. The availability of metal flake for the fiberglass line is especially exciting.

All of our children have worked in the company at one time and some of you have been customers so long that you may remember; Floyd, Tony, Vicki and most recently Kathy has been our rock.

We will be retiring to Chadron, NE to be near our oldest son Floyd, his wife, grandchildren and our precious new great-granddaughter.

Our last day for in-store sales is May 25, 2012 however, Kathy will still be answering the phone and taking orders for Acme Car Company until the move is completed.

We wish great blessings to you all.
