new updates for me

Postby bobaganoosh » 22 Sun Jan, 2006 9:25 pm

made a little progress today,

got the throw out bearing in today, also mounted the pressure plate and clutch to the block, just need an extra pair of hands to lift it into position.

also got one of my tail lights cut out and mounted. and here's where the man I feel stupid part comes in. I spent hours literally making templates to make sure that I had the tail light in the right position and when I finally went to mount it (no it wasn't crooked or in the wrong place) I realized that the gaskets for the tail light housing make pretty darn good templates. I'll know next time.

Just some advice, especially in winter..cover that engine with a cloth, old bedsheet, etc..that plastic will trap moisture...
