I have been thinking about this air conditioning issue for some time. I'm designing a defrost system for the windshield but that is much simpler than air conditioning but I never thought about just using ice to provide the cooling energy. It would be nice to be able to blow some cool air while stuck at the stop light. I think I could build this type of sytem quite easily. All I need now is a larger dash for the vents.
