Buggy Story

Postby GregR » 02 Thu Jul, 2009 6:53 am

Got this in an email fromnew member fcgrif. Pretty good story.
GR

It's a Sandwinder built in 1970 I think. It was built by Bill Fincher of
Bills Buggies of Arlington. I purchased it from my sister in the early
80s. I happened to know the builder, he worked with my Father-in-law at
the GM plant in Arlington. That's where I got to know him. Sadly both
are deceased now. I drove my buggy in the 4Th of July parade in
Arlington with Bill and other co-workers and retirees from GM from the
early 80s to 2001. With time and the passing of many of the ones who
also drove with me the tradition has pretty much died. The buggy has been sitting for awhile and me and my better half are in the process getting it ready to drive again. Thank you for the invitation to join the club. Me and my wife are anxious to get the buggy running again.
Will try to keep everyone updated. Thanks again Frankie

I love it when there's a good backstory on a project. Can't wait for the updates.
