What a great weekend. We all gathered for a meet and greet at the KOA. Johnny B and others had some grills all set up and started barbecueing. Lots of great buggies. hanging around and good conversation. We met Bob Kornoff from Nevada, Bob Yahn from Arizona and Tom and Kathleen from Connecticut as well as our great bunch from around Texas and Oklahoma.

Greg Rardin presents Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children's Meg Jones with a donation of $1,500 from the Texas Manx Club. Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children operates through the generosity of others and never charges for any service...why they don't even have a billing department! The Texas Manx Club and all who participated in Buggy Blast IV can be very proud to help support this incredible hospital Thank You !!!

It wasn't long until a good sized group had gathered. Edie, Linda O, Susie, and Linda D did a great job with registration and T-Shirt sales. Buggies, buses and beetles from all over made their way to the Civic Center parking lot.
David and GregR tried their hand at announcing but soon realized more professional help was needed. They enlisted the help of Murzi, in from Louisiana to take over those duties. I think the crowd was grateful!
The show was a great success with 48 entries.  Tom and Kathleen took 1st in the Manxter Class as well as Best interior and Best of Show! (click for show results.) The buggies were truly awesome. Ray and Raymond from Waskom wow'ed the crowd with their Hawkeye buggies and colorful (to say the least) paint jobs...and then there was Ray's trailer too!
