Buggy Blast 4   Show and Cruises PAGE 2

The first cruise for Buggy Blast IV was scheduled for Saturday evening. The plan: take the backroads some 15 miles south to the town of Walburg, Texas. Now Walburg has a General Store (now a German Biergarten/restaurant), a Post Office, and about 5 other buildings....hard to get lost there!  The cruise went well, a bit rockier than when I laid it out last fall but still fun. We went kind of slow (we'll go faster next time!) Even just tip-toe'd across some water, scared a bunch of cows with the exhaust and had a great meal.   (click on a picture for a larger version)

Sunday, we met around 9 for coffee and donuts at Pace Park in Salado. Around 10 we headed out on the near 70 mile cruise in the countryside west of Salado. We lost Johnny B's bug to an ignition problem. Part of the gang had gotten ahead so we stopped along a little used road to wait. Jimmy went back to check on things and about a half hour later here they came. We continued on and stopped again in the town of Andice. Andice consists of a General Store "with the best burgers in Texas" according to the owner. After stretching there, we continued back to Salado, said our good byes and headed home. This was a great weekend and I think it can be said that a good time was had by all!
